Bollywood hottie Mallika Sherwat will be dancing to the tunes of music director Preetam in the song "Razia Gundon Mein Phans Gayi" in Anees Bazmi's film Thank You, says a media report.
Mallika will do the dancing jhatkas in the august company of Akshay Kumar, Bobby Deol and Suneil Shetty.A source said, Mallika has not charged a penny for this item song, since she consider Anees Bazmee as her friend. Mallika had worked in Bazmee's film Welcome.Presently, the Haryanvi bombshell is gung-ho about her foray into television as a judge on the dance reality show Chak Dhoom Dhoom Season 2.
'Bikini mein toh lagti hoon hot chocolate fudge, dekhte hai kya hota hai jab mai banti hoon judge' , says Mallika. Mallika becomes a little defensive when it comes to commenting on her 'international' film career.
Asked what made her join the league of Bollywood stars on TV, she replied: "My films only cater to adults. Only those above 18 can see them, that too in theatres. But through television I will be able to reach to kids and senior members of the family. TV, today, has a far wider reach than that of films, especially my films (she winks). And I strongly feel that since I am from the masses, this show gives poor artists' an opportunity. When I was young I didn't get these opportunities. Hence this is the right time for people to know what the real Mallika is like!"
On her nude scenes in the film Hisss, Mallika said: "Hisss was liked by younger audiences. It was meant for young people and they liked it, if the 60 year old critics didn't like it, what can I do! My distributors and all made their money and I've reached a stage in my career where I am not doing TV just for the money!"Mallika does not mince words when it comes to talking about other issues, including being thrown out of a film, reportedly on superstar Amitabh Bachchan's suggestions.
When asked if the rumours were true, that she was ousted from a Pritish Nandy film as Bachchan didn't wish to work with her, she says, "Firstly let me tell you that in Bollywood everyone has huge egos. I had asked certain changes in the script .The Nandy clan had come to my office a couple of times for the same. I also have mails to prove my point. And if someone doesn't want to work with me, be it, I don't care."
And what about not being a part of Murder 2? Mallika says, "I have no regrets about not doing Murder 2. In this industry everyone is busy promoting their brother, son, nephew niece etc. I am the original one I make my own path always".
